The 2006 Yankee District Convention was held
March 17-19 at the
Seacrest
in Falmouth on the Cape. A Consulting rosarian school was held on March
17 as well. Thank you to Audrey Osborn, show chair, and the Lower
Cape Rose Society. |

RIRS has 3 ARS 2003 National Award Winners Congratulations to Angie Chute for her Honorable mention as editor of the RI Rose Review newsletter! This makes it one of the top twelve in the country. In addition, Allyson Huskisson won an Award of merit for her article on "Perennials & Annuals in the Rose Garden" and Ed Cunningham won Awards of Merit for his articles "Why Do We Breed Roses" and "Breeders of Note : James Plaisted Wilde" [Lord Penzance] |

The Yankee District held a Judging School
on Sept. 6, 2005 in Harwich, Massachusetts on the Cape. Click here for requirements to become an ARS horticultural judge. The Yankee District lobster and clambake was also on September 6! Here are some photos. Last year's photos are here too. |

Local societies may wish to take advantage of HelpMeFind.com's new option of adding a free webpage for your society, public garden or even private garden there.
